So, how should you go about preparing your Android-powered phone for Factory Reset.
First off, remove your sdcard and SIM. Securely erasing data from an sdcard is all but impossible.
Next, head over to your home screen, tap menu, settings, SD card & phone storage. You'll probably find the option to Factory data reset (if not its not there, go back a level to Privacy settings). Read the messages completely, this will wipe all your data and apps. Your phone will likely reboot a few times in the process, that's normal. Once that's complete you'll boot up into the "setup wizard", at that point, just long-press on the power button to turn the phone off.
