The author of Flashtool confirmed it is important to WIPE User Data before applying the procedures below and neglecting them can place your phone in a boot loop. In addition, you also need to disable all User Access Permissions in Windows Vista and windows 7 in order to let the tool works properly. Next, here are all you should do.

 

• Download Flashtool and save it to your computer.
• Download the Xperia X10 mini 2.1 Firmware file.
• Turn on your phone and connect it to the computer.
• Open the Flashtool directory which is followed by Firmware sub folder.

• NOTE THIS IS ONLY FOR MINI NOT FOR MINI PRO!!

• Note: You have to disable Vista/7 UAC! If not you are running in problems !

• Now put the firmware files in "firmware" directory of flashtool (overwrite loader.sin) and run X10flash.bat and follow instructions!

• Execute the Flashtool.bat and follow the onscreen instructions to install the android 2.1 Eclair on your device.
• Reboot your phone.
