It is protecting the data and privacy that you need to move on to the new phone.
- Connect your phone to your computer so that the microSD card and any internal memory can be read. Copy all of your data, both the data in the microSD card and internal memory then save it on your computer. Once you have the copy, whenever you need the data for your new phone, the data is preserved on the computer. For Android 2.2’s users, the Google’s operating system will help you to back up your application data.
- Please follow this instructions to remove or reformat the microSD and any internal storage, Menu > Settings >SD card & phone storage. For better result, use the computer (my option for “Format SD card” was greyed out).
- To bring your phone setting back to its default setting, do a factory data reset. It will remove your phone of all data and restore the default setting. This also applies for the rooted device or the customized ROM device.
- To do this thing just follow this instruction, Menu > Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset. Just make sure that all of your data have been backed up before reset.
Once you have followed the steps, there will be nothing left on your phone. None of your emails, contact info, or browsing history can be known by the others.
